Work With Me

The story behind the coaching — where I've been, how I work, and what drives me.

My Story

I didn't grow up with a roadmap

As the eldest daughter of immigrants and a first-generation professional, I learned early that figuring things out often meant figuring them out alone. There was no one in my family who had navigated job searches, salary negotiations, or performance reviews. No one told me how to write a resume, what to wear to an interview, or that it was okay to ask for more. I had to piece it together as I went and I definitely made some mistakes along the way!

Those experiences are exactly why I do this work.

Today, I channel all of it into two roles that fill my cup. By day, I work as a Career Advisor at UC Berkeley, supporting Master of Information and Data Science students as they navigate their own career journeys. I work with people at every stage by helping them find clarity, build strategy, and go after careers that bring them joy.

I'm an Asian American woman who has sat in rooms where I was the only one who looked like me. I'm a child of immigrants who understands the particular weight of feeling like you have to prove you belong — to your employer, to your colleagues, and sometimes even to yourself. I'm an eldest daughter, which means I know something about carrying responsibility quietly, putting others first, and not always having space to ask what you actually want.

I'm also neurodivergent, which has shaped the way I think, work, and show up for my clients. It's taught me that there is no single "right" way to build a career, that traditional advice doesn't fit everyone, and that the most important thing isn't fitting into a mold. Instead, it's understanding yourself well enough to find the environments and roles where you can genuinely thrive.

How I Work

Your career should work for you

My coaching is rooted in the belief that your career should work for your life, not the other way around. I'm not here to help you become someone you're not or to chase a version of success that doesn't actually fit you. I'm here to help you get clear on what you want, build the skills and confidence to go after it, and make decisions that honor who you are.

I lead with curiosity and empathy. I ask a lot of questions. I genuinely love conversations about values, culture fit, and what brings people energy because I think those conversations are the foundation of everything else.

I'm also a Gallup Certified Strengths Coach, which means I'm trained to help you identify and build on what already makes you exceptional. My own strengths — Relator, Focus, Futuristic, Discipline, and Learner — mean I'll show up as a partner who sees you deeply, thinks ahead with you, and helps keep you grounded and moving forward.

Who I Love Working With

This space was built for you

I work with people at all career stages, but I have a particular soft spot for early-career, mid-career, and senior-level professionals who feel like they've been navigating without a guide — first-gen professionals, career changers, anyone who has always felt a little "different" in their workplaces, and those who are neurodivergent and managing their mental health alongside their ambitions.

If you've ever felt like the advice out there just wasn't written for someone like you, I want you to know: this space was.

Outside of Work

A few things that keep me grounded

When I'm not coaching, I'm usually doing something that challenges me in a completely different way.
